Background & Education
Elizabeth started her Human Resources career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago where she gained world-class exposure to Leadership Coaching, Talent Management, and HR strategy. After leaving the Fed, she started her own HR consulting business working with clients across the country to solve unique recruiting challenges. It wasn’t long until Elizabeth was called back to Financial Services, assuming responsibility for building out an HR (Talent) function. She also served as the Head of Talent Acquisition for an Association Management company.
Elizabeth established Elizabeth Newhart Coaching in 2015 with the intention of helping individuals who felt uncertain about their career path and direction. Around that time, Elizabeth also signed on with Bravanti as an Executive Coach, coaching leaders across many industries on a variety of key leadership situations and topics.
Currently, Elizabeth is the Head of HR at Shaker Recruitment Marketing where she’s focused on attracting, engaging, and retaining stellar talent while coaching organization leaders.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, she is a graduate of the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI).
In her spare time, Elizabeth loves to be active. She can be found lifting weights, sweating on her Peloton, or hiking in the woods. She also loves pizza and movie nights with her husband and three kids, reading a great book, baking chocolate chip cookies, and sharing connection, laughter, and wine with friends. Elizabeth volunteers with the Associate Board of Sarah’s Inn, has coached veterans in career transition with Code Platoon, and raises awareness and funding for Cycle for Survival.
On a Personal Note
Elizabeth understands the challenges working moms face as they attempt to “do and have it all.” She gets the competing priorities, the juggling of schedules, the general “messiness” and feelings of inadequacy that women can encounter as they try to balance their family and career. Elizabeth is very passionate about empowering women to believe in themselves, helping them get clear on their values and non-negotiables, and coaching them towards advocacy and a path that works best for them.
